4 Tricks for Your iOS 8 Photo Albums
iOS 8 has expanded it’s organizational abilities and come up with some new features that make storing and viewing your pictures much easier. Check out four of my personal favorites below.
Hidden Folder
If you ever feel pangs of terror when showing photos on your phone to others, for fear they might swipe too far to left or right and accidentally encounter a photo of a personal nature (or, if you’re like me, one too many photos of my dog in cute sweaters, all time-stamped on Saturday nights- proving my social skills might rival those of Liz Lemon), you can now easily create a hidden folder. Phew! All photos placed in the folder will no longer appear in your “Photos” section (though, be warned- they will still appear in your camera roll and photo stream), thus reducing your chances of embarrassment.
1. Open Photos.

8. Your hidden photos can all be viewed in this one folder.
Undelete Photos
No need to continue to fear the delete button, any accidentally binned photos can now be easily recovered.
1. Open Photos.

Your photo will be reinstated back to its rightful place in its original album.
Favorites
Your photos app now gives you the option of selecting your favorite images. This groups them into a single album, making it easier for you to access that cute picture of your nephew, without having to wade through the hundreds of pictures on your phone.
1. Open Photos.

4. To see all your favorite photos, open the “Favorites” folder in “Albums.”
Search Photos
Now you no longer need to scroll endlessly through every picture you’ve ever taken to find a photographic needle-in-a-hay-stack. Your Photos app now has a search option, allowing you to search by date or location.
1. Open Photos.

These are just some of the many new features in iOS 8’s Photos app. Which other features do you readers find useful? Or, are there some of you out there who dislike some of the changes made to their photo organizer?
