FCC Approves Sony Xperia Z For T-Mobile, HSPA+ and LTE Support Confirmed
Sony doesn’t seem to mind that their upcoming smartphone, the Xperia Z, has made a not so secretive run through the FCC. That’s right, a full spread of external and internal photos of the Xperia Z alongside a user manual, which confirms the device’s model, carrier association and features like WiFi calling are now out in the open. The documents do confirm the existence of AWS LTE (band 4) and pentaband HSPA+, which should make plenty of T-Mobile customers pretty happy to hear. While the Uncarrier has yet to confirm the Xperia Z as one of its own, we’re sure they’re still just excited about their recent merger. So, while we wait for an official announcement you can check out the FCC docs yourself… if you’re into that sort of thing.
