How to Unroot the Acer CloudMobile
Need to get your Acer CloudMobile back to stock? Want to reinstate the device’s warranty? No worries, here’s how you can do that. Getting the CloudMobile back to stock is as easy as flashing a file through recovery, and you’ll be back to stock in no time. Here’s how you can do that:
I. Before You Begin:
1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.
2. Make sure your device has at least 70% of battery life left.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Quick Boot — QR Code (Google Play Link)
2. Stock ROM (Download link’s available in the first post)
III. Unrooting the Acer CloudMobile:
1. Place the Stock ROM archive onto your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the archive over to your Desktop.
3. Connect your device to your PC via USB cable.
4. Copy the update.zip file you got from Stock ROM archive over to the root of your SD card.
5. Once it’s been copied, unplug your device from your PC.
6. Now head over to Google Play and download and install the Quick Boot app on your device.
7. Once it’s been installed, launch it from your App Drawer.
8. Tap on Recovery option in the app and your device will reboot into Recovery mode.
9. From the Recovery menu, select install zip from sdcard followed by choose zip from sdcard.
10. Select the update.zip file you copied earlier to your device for flashing.
11. It’ll take some good time to flash the file, so be patient.
12. Once the file’s been flashed, reboot your device.
13. And you’re done!
Awesome! You’ve successfully unrooted your Acer CloudMobile smartphone. You’re now running the official Acer firmware on your device that has no root access!
