Samsung Unveils the Galaxy Core: Typical Low-end Phone to Follow Up the Galaxy S 4
In typical Samsung fashion, a flagship device is launched and then shortly after we see a wave of low-end phones to hit the market. Say hello to the Galaxy Core, a 4.3-inch handset that comes equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage and a microSD slot. The Core runs on a Touchwiz-infused Jelly Bean OS and has a 5-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a VGA front-facing shooter perfect for your Instagram selfies.
Samsung did throw in some Galaxy-style software features that include Motion UI, Smart Stay, Smart Alert and S Voice. So, what about the display on this low-end baby? Well, this one has a 4.3-inch WVGA (480 x 800) display. Sorry, you won’t find a high pixel count here, but at least the option for single SIM (available in July) or dual-SIM (from May) variants are yours for the choosing.
