How to Unroot the Motorola Electrify M
Want to learn how you can unroot your Motorola Electrify M smartphone? Need to reinstate its warranty? Here’s how. Once your device is unrooted, you’ll be running the official stock firmware that has no modifications and is pure and original released from your manufacturer. The following guide covers the procedure to unroot your device.
I. Before You Begin:
1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.
2. This works on Windows based PCs only.
3. Your device needs to have at least 70% of battery life left.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. RSD Lite (It’s attached in the first post)
2. Stock Firmware (Download link’s given in the first post)
3. Quick Boot — QR Code (Google Play Link)
III. Unrooting the Motorola Electrify M:
1. Place both the files you downloaded to your Desktop.
2. Extract files from both the archives over to your Desktop.
3. On your device, head over to Google Play and download and install the Quick Boot app on your device.
4. Once it’s been installed, launch it from your App Drawer.
5. Tap on Bootloader option in the app and it’ll reboot your device into bootloader mode.
6. Once inside bootloader, connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
7. Now double-click on the RSD Lite executable file available on your Desktop.
8. Click on “…” in the tool and select the Stock Firmware file you extracted earlier to your Desktop.
9. Hit Start and it’ll begin flashing the firmware on your device.
10. Once the firmware’s been flashed, reboot your device.
11. And you’re unrooted now!
Brilliant! Your Electrify M has been successfully unrooted and is now running the official stock firmware.
