Final Fantasy IV Finally Arrives at the Google Play Store

Square Enix may have just made your week a whole lot cooler as they released Final Fantasy IV to the Google Play Store. FFIV was the first in the series to introduce the Active Time Battle (ATB) system, and this release is being praised as a “complete 3D remake” of the original game that was launched 22 years ago.

Even though Final Fantasy IV says that it is compatible for Android 2.3.3 devices and up, there’s still a chance that it will work on your device depending on what kind of processor and RAM your packing.Initial users have confirmed that the game runs brilliantly on the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 and that the overall experience is just awesome. Users have also reported that the license check clears even on a rooted device. Sweet.

The intial download is a hefty one at 441MB’s so make sure you’ve got Wi-Fi for awhile before you decide to buy this one. Judging by the 4.1 star rating the $15.99 price doesn’t seem to be deterring anyone from purchasing it. If you want to get in on this gaming classic, then hop to the Play Store link below.
