How to Change the Auto-Lock Time on an iPad
Auto-Lock feature automatically locks your iPad after a certain time period has passed, so it prevents other people from using your iPad. You can set the time interval on when your device should be locked, here’s how you can do that:
I. Before You Begin:
1. This should work on other iOS devices as well, including iPhone and iPod Touch.
II. Changing the Auto-Lock Time on an iPad:
1. Tap the Settings icon on your screen.
2. Tap on General followed by Auto-Lock.
3. Now tap the auto-lock time period, 2 Minutes, for example.
4. And you’re done!
Great! Now your iPad will automatically be locked after it’s been idle for the time period you chose above!
Have you a solution for when you are streaming to an Apple TV, when your device reaches the auto-lock time specified, the playing video then pauses until you unlock the device again. This seems like a pretty useful feature if you say were streaming the WWDC pres from your iPad to the Apple TV and every two minutes needing to tap the screen to keep the iPad awake and the vid playing.
