How to Disable the Application Switching in Windows 8

Windows has always been a multitasking OS and so is the latest Windows 8. With this new version of the OS, you get a new feature called App switching that enables users to switch between multiple open applications easily. On a touch-device, it can be done by simply swiping through screen and on a PC, you need to hover your mouse over the corners of your PC. While this may seem to be a good feature for some users, other users may not like it and want to disable it. So for those folks, here’s a guide that teaches how to disable the application switching in Windows 8.

I. Disabling the Application Switching in Windows 8:

1. Press the Windows Logo+I keys together and a menu will pop-up in the right-hand side.

2. Click on Change PC settings option.

3. Head to General tab and then turn the Allow switching between recent apps slider OFF.

4. You’re done!

Well done! From now on, you won’t be able to switch between apps on your Windows 8 PC!
