How to Root the Alcatel One Touch 995

Rooting the Alcatel One Touch 995 is nothing but a kid’s play, just launch a simple app, hit a few buttons and you’re good to go. Sounds simple and interesting? Here’s how you can root your OT 995:

I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.

2. This works on Windows based PCs only.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. SuperOneClick (Download link’s given in the post #79)

III. Rooting the Alcatel One Touch 995:

1. Download and place the SuperOneClick archive onto your Desktop.

2. Extract files from the archive over to your Desktop.

3. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.

4. Once it’s been enabled, plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

5. Double-click on the SuperOneClick executable file available on your Desktop.

6. Choose alcapwn from the Exploit dropdown menu in the app.

7. Hit the Root button and it’ll start rooting your device.

8. Your device will be rooted within a few seconds.

9. And you’re done!

Amazing! You’ve successfully rooted your OT 995 smartphone and this lets you enter the world of root-only apps, full of fun!
