How to Increase Notification LED Brightness on the Xperia Devices
So far we’ve just talked about modifying the software side of Android devices but this time, we have something that’ll change the hardware behavior of your device. On the Sony’s Xperia devices, the brightness of LED can be adjusted by simply installing a third-party mode. You might want to change the LED brightness to save some battery or for any reason, the guide below will help you do that.
I. Before You Begin:
1. This should work on all the Xperia 2011 series smartphones.
2. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. Please head to our Sony How To’s section and check the root method for your device.
3. You must have ClockworkMod Recovery installed on your device. Just head to the same Sony How To’s section and you’ll find the recovery procedures there.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. LED Mod (Download the appropriate attached file)
III. Increasing Notification LED Brightness on the Xperia Devices:
1. Place the LED Mod file on your Desktop.
2. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
3. Copy the Mod file over to the root of your SD card.
4. Once the file’s been copied, unplug your device from your PC.
5. Now head over to Google Play and download and install the Quick Boot app on your device.
6. Once the app’s been installed, open it from your App Drawer.
7. Hit Recovery option in the app and your device will reboot into Recovery mode.
8. In the Recovery mode, select install zip from sdcard followed by choose zip from sdcard.
9. Choose the LED Mod zip to be flashed on your device
10. Once it has flashed the mod, reboot your device.
11. And you’re done!
Brilliant! The mod’s been successfully flashed on your device and you should notice the changes immediately!
