How to Unroot the Huawei Sonic
Maybe you’ve messed-up with your device? Maybe you’re sending it in for warranty reasons? Either way, this guide should help. Unrooting your device will reinstate its warranty and you’ll be able to avoid any unexpected questions at the service center. So, here’s how you can unroot your Huawei Sonic smartphone:
I. Before You Begin:
1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.
2. Make sure your device has at least 70% of battery life left.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Stock Firmware (Download link’s given in the first post)
III. Unrooting the Huawei Sonic:
1. Download and place the Stock Firmware archive onto your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the archive over to your Desktop.
3. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
4. Copy the dload folder you got from the archive over to the root of your SD card.
5. Once the folder’s been copied, unplug your device from your PC.
6. Head to Menu>>Settings>>Storage>>Find Software Upgrade on your device and tap the SD card upgrade option.
7. Hit Confirm and it’ll begin flashing the firmware on your device.
8. And you’re done!
Brilliant! Your device has been successfully unrooted and is all the way back to stock firmware.
