How to Remove Bloatware from the HTC One (AT&T)

Got loads of unwanted apps with your AT&T HTC One smartphone? Want to remove all of those junk apps to make space for your favorite apps? No problem, here’s how you can do that. Removing bloatware from the HTC One (AT&T) has become a one-click task, all thanks to the developer of the script. So, here’s how you can remove bloatware from your HTC One smartphone running on AT&T network.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. Check out our How to Root the HTC One procedure to root your device.

2. You must have CWM Recovery installed on your device. If you don’t, head here to learn how you can flash it on your device.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Bloatware Remover (It’s attached in the first post)

III. Removing Bloatware from the HTC One (AT&T):

1. Download and place the Bloatware Remover archive onto your Desktop.

2. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.

3. Copy the archive over to the root of your SD card.

4. Once it’s been copied, disconnect your device from your PC.

5. Now head over to Google Play and download and install the Quick Boot app on your device.

6. Once the apps’ been installed, launch it from your App Drawer.

7. Hit Recovery option in the app and your device will reboot into the Recovery mode.

8. Once there, select install zip from sdcard followed by choose zip from sdcard.

9. Choose the Bloatware Remover zip to be flashed on your device.

10. It’ll start flashing the zip, should take a minute or two to finish.

11. Once the flashing’s done, reboot your device.

12. You’re all done!

Excellent! You have successfully removed all of those junk apps (bloatware) from your HTC One and you now have a clean device!
