How to Unroot the Motorola Atrix 4G (AT&T)
Need to send in your device for warranty reasons? Make sure you unroot it first so the warranty can be reinstated and then you can take the device to the service center. Here’s how you can unroot your Motorola Atrix 4G (AT&T) smartphone and get it back to stock:
I. Before You Begin:
1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.
2. Your device needs to be fully charged before you do this procedure.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Stock SBF (Download the appropriate SBF for your device)
2. RSD Lite (It’s attached in the first post)
III. Unrooting the Motorola Atrix 4G (AT&T):
1. Download and place both the files onto your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the RSD Lite archive over to your Desktop.
3. Double-click on the RSD Lite executable file and it should launch.
4. Click on “…” and choose the SBF file you downloaded earlier to your Desktop.
5. Turn OFF your device.
6. Remove the SIM card as well as microSD card from your device.
7. Now turn your device back on by holding down Volume DOWN+Power buttons together.
8. Plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.
9. Hit Start button in the RSD Lite tool and it’ll start flashing the SBF file.
10. Reboot your device once the flashing’s done.
11. You’re all done!
Wonderful! Your device’s been unrooted and is back to the stock firmware.
