Windows Phone 101: How to Use the Built-In Song Recognition (Video)

Sometimes you hear a song and just can’t quite think of who the artist is or the title of the song. Windows Phone recently added the ability to use their Bing song recognition to solve this issue with just a few taps on the device. Not only can you get the song title and artist, but you can also easily add the song to your Xbox music playlist. This becomes particularly useful if you have an unlimited plan with Xbox music. You can recognize the song and then quickly add it for free to your device for listening later in a matter of seconds.

1. Hold down the search button.

2. Tap the music note icon to identify the song.

3. After a bit it’ll display the song.

4. You can click on Store and then download it from there.
