Windows Phone 101: How to Send Text Messages Using Your Voice (Video)

Hands tied? No problem. Windows Phone has the ability to convert speech to text (and it’s actually pretty accurate and fast). You can use this feature anywhere that you can type text (from email, to text, to any other text input). Here’s how to use the voice recognition in place of typing on your Windows Phone device.

1. With the keyboard open, tap the microphone symbol on the bottom left.

2. Speak the message you want to send and when you stop it’ll automatically stop the speech recognition.

3. Tap send.
