How to Unroot the LG G2 (T-Mobile)

Something’s not working properly on your LG G2 (T-Mobile) smartphone? Want to send it to the T-Mobile for repairing? Do that but first make sure your device is unrooted and have its warranty active. If you’re rooted, you will want to unroot your device to reinstate the warranty and make it service center friendly. Here’s how you can go about unrooting your LG G2 on T-Mobile:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. Your device should have at least 70% of battery life left.

3. You should have appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, get the latest drivers from here.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Stock ROM (Download link’s given in the first post)

2. Flash Tool (Download link’s given in the first post, in step-3)

III. Unrooting the LG G2 (T-Mobile):

1. Download and place both the files onto your Desktop.

2. Unzip files from the Flash Tool archive over to your Desktop.

3. Power OFF your device.

4. Press and hold the Volume UP+Volume DOWN buttons and plug your device in to your PC using the USB cable.

5. You should now be in Download mode.

6. Double-click on UpTestEX.exe available on your Desktop.

7. In the tool, choose 3GQCT from the Select Type dropdown menu and DIAG from the PhoneMode menu.

8. Click on Select kdz file and choose the Stock ROM file you downloaded earlier to your Desktop.

9. Hit Normal web upgrade test button in the tool.

10. On the screen that follows hit Upgrade Start button.

11. A few minutes later it should ask you some information, fill-in the following info:

CountryRepublic of Korea

LanguageEnglish

12. And it’ll start flashing the firmware on your device.

13. Once it’s done, you should be unrooted!

14. You’re done!

Excellent! You have successfully unrooted your LG G2 and now it’s back to the stock firmware!
