How to Flash a Custom Recovery on the Oppo N1
So you just rooted your Oppo N1 and now looking to flash a custom recovery on it? No problem, this guide should help you do that. Having a custom recovery is a good thing. It lets you flash custom ROMs, flash Mods, create backups of your existing ROMs and a lot more. Here’s how you can flash a custom recovery on your Oppo N1:
I. Before You Begin:
1. You must be rooted before you can do this procedure. Please head to our How to Root the Oppo N1 procedure first, finish it, then return to this procedure and continue.
2. This should only work on Windows based PCs.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. TWRP Recovery Image (Download the file having .img extension)
2. Fastboot
III. Flashing a Custom Recovery on the Oppo N1:
1. Download and place both the files onto your Desktop.
2. Unzip files from Fastboot archive over to your Desktop.
3. Turn OFF your device.
4. Turn it back on by holding down Volume UP+Power buttons together.
5. You should now be in Fastboot mode.
6. Launch a Command Prompt Window on your Desktop. To do so, hold down the Shift button and right-click on any blank area on your screen and select Open command window here.
7. Type in following command into the Command Prompt Window you just launched. Make sure to replace recoveryfilename.img with the actual name of the Recovery Image you have downloaded:
fastboot flash recovery recoveryfilename.img
8. It should flash the recovery on your device, shouldn’t take too long to finish.
9. Once the recovery’s been flashed, reboot your device.
10. And you’re all set!
