How to Root the Zen Ultrafone 701HD

Have you ever come across any app that asked you it wanted root and you started scratching your head what the hell was that? Well, root is something you can achieve on your Android device that once done, can get you the ability to install root-only apps,  flash custom recoveries, flash custom ROMs and do a lot more stuff on your device. It opens up a whole new world of customization possibilities for you. So if you’ve made your mind to root your Zen Ultrafone 701HD, this guide is all you need. Follow it to the letter and you should end up with a rooted device:

I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.

2. You should have appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, get the latest drivers from this post.

3. This only works on Windows based PCs.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Root Package (It’s attached in the first post)

III. Rooting the Zen Ultrafone 701HD:

1. Download and place the Root Package archive onto your Desktop.

2. Extract files from the archive over to your Desktop.

3. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Developer options>>USB debugging.

4. Once it’s been enabled, plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.

5. Right-click on Run.bat available on your Desktop and select Run as administrator.

6. Follow the on-screen instructions to gain root-access on your device.

7. Once it’s done, reboot your device.

8. You should now be rooted!

Congrats! Your device’s been successfully rooted and has the Superuser app up and running to help you manager root-permissions on your device!
