How to Root the LG Optimus F6 (T-Mobile)
Have you had a rooted device before you bought the brand new LG Optimus F6 on T-Mobile? Then you must be dying to get root-access on this new device to make all of those root-only apps work on it. The XDA devs have come up with a simple root method for the said device and the entire procedure is just as easy as pie. Here’s how you can root your LG Optimus F6 (T-Mobile):
I. Before You Begin:
1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.
2. Make sure your device has at least 30% of battery life left.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Root Package (It’s attached in the first post)
III. Rooting the LG Optimus F6 (T-Mobile):
1. Download and place the Root Package archive onto your Desktop.
2. Unzip files from the archive over to your Desktop.
3. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Developer options>>USB debugging.
4. Enable the Unknown sources option as well by going to Menu>>Settings>>Security>>Unknown sources.
5. Once both the options have been enabled, plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.
6. Double-click on run.bat available on your Desktop and it’ll start rooting your device.
7. Once it’s done, you should be rooted.
8. You’re all done!
Excellent! Your Optimus F6 has been successfully rooted and is now compatible with the so-called root-only apps!
