How to Root the Micromax A77 Canvas Juice

With its dual-core 1.3GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 5-inch display and a 5MP camera, the Canvas Juice from Micromax may not ace in any benchmarks but still is a worthy mid to high-end device with a very affordable price tag.  What could make this device better of course is rooting it and the post below should have you covered in that respect.

I.  Before You Begin

1.  Back up everything you feel is important before you start.

2.  Charge your device to 75% or more before you begin to prevent unwanted shutdowns.

II.  Necessary Downloads

Framaroot-1.8.1.apk [or latest version, file attached to this post]

III.  Rooting the Micromax Canvas Juice

1.  Connect your device to your PC and copy the Framaroot-1.8.1.apk file you downloaded above to your device’s SD card.

2.  Use a file manager app (Astro or ES File Explorer, for example), navigate to the location of Framaroot-1.8.1.apk, and install the application.  Make sure you have enabled installation of apps from unknown sources by going to Settings > Security and ticking the Unknown sources checkbox.

3.  Go to your app drawer and open up the Framaroot app.

4.  Select SuperSU from the drop-down menu and then Boromir on the next step.

5.  Wait for the success popup.

6.  Reboot your device.

Your Micromax A77 Canvas Juice is now much more juiced up than before!
