New Phone: HTC Touch HD2 (HTC Leo)

HTC Leo

The Touch HD2 is the rumored new name for the phone we’ve seen pop up here and there known as the HTC Leo. And frankly with good reason. Same form factor as the HD but with some serious upgrades. Check these out:

  • 1Ghz Processor
  • 5.0MP camera with dual LED flash
  • Windows Mobile 6.5 with Touchflo 2.6 on top
  • 4.3″ Capacitive Touchscreen
  • 320MBs of RAM
  • Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth
  • 3.5mm Headphone jack

Not too shabby, eh? Well the huge screen that, oh by the way, is CAPACITIVE (a first for Windows Mobile phones) is super exciting followed by the 1Ghz process and 320Mbs of RAM that just may make the TouchFlo 2.6 on top of the Windows Mobile 6.5 OS run like butter.

Here’s a video demo of this bad boy:

  1. awesome phone. i just got the hero an already wanna upgrade, damm android phones always getting better.. how much would this roughly sell for an where?? 🙂

  2. Looks like new phones are coming out every month. Too bad they all didn’t come out when the g1 came out. Good think I’m stuck with t-mobile so that when my plan ends in a year and a half from now, another phone will come out and I can upgrade by g1. T-mobile keep the phones coming ,who cares bout the iphone, att can’t compete with tmobile.

    1. Hello guys,

This is a Windows Mobile phone, why do people keep thinking it’s Android? lol
There were rumors that it was going to be an Android phone, but the phone is already in the wild and the ROM has been leaked (and put on the Touch HD) and it is Windows Mobile 6.5 with TouchFlo 2.6.
But that is NOT to say that HTC might not come out with a similar phone with Android on it. (The Sony X3 is alreadyannounced and is VERY similar with Android on top. I’m thinking it could be a rebranded HTC device made for Sony, just like the Xperia was. So that might be your guys’ Android “Leo”).
But this phone here… ALL Windows Mobile

  3. I sure hope that Android becomes the standard and not Windows Mobile… Must we all continue to strapped by the finite limitations of a closed source system? The way I see it, with Windows we are basically told how we can use our phone. With Android everyone is free to develope and grow together. Just look at the Android Market Place. Over the last 2 months has grown exponentially… The good applications are are rated high and the great ones make the developer famous in a way. I don’t see this happening at the Windows Market once that opens. And I’m sure FREE won’t be the standard…

  4. I know this phone is not an android phone I’m just saying htc is getting better ideas and the phones are getting better. I use to have the shadow and that had windows on it. And now that I have android, its kool too.
