How to Remove Unwanted Items from the Notification Shade from the LG G3

I don’t know about you, but the notification shade is a, sort of, sacred place to me. It needs to be uncluttered and clear, ready for when I need to pull it down, quickly see what needs my attention, and be out like a ninja. So when manufacturers start putting a bunch of things in there like the adjusting of the brightness (who needs to adjust their brightness that much when Auto-brightness exists?!), I’m not very zen-like.

Thankfully, even though LG also added this, they managed to put in a way to disable it in the settings (at least for most versions of the device, as it seems some people have reported that the AT&T version has no sliders and the Sprint version has no volume slider). Here’s how.

1. Pull down the notification shade.

2. Swipe over in the top row and tap Edit on the far right.

3. Uncheck all of the unwanted items (I personally hate the Volume Slider, QSlide, and Brightness).

4. Hit back and then pull down the notification shade to confirm it’s nice and clean.

Am I the only one who can’t stand these things?
