How to Setup the LG G3 for Easier One-Handed Use
Sometimes a large screen can make things a little more difficult on a device. In particular, typing. LG, just like most manufacturers nowadays, has added a way to adjust the keyboard, dial pad, etc. to make it easier to type by sliding it over to one side. Here’s how you can set it up and what parts of the device’s UI it will affect.
1. Pull down the Notification Shade and tap the gear in the top right to get to Settings.
2. Tap the General Tab.
3. Tap on One-handed Operation.
4. Check off the options you want it to be enabled for (Dial Keypad, LG Keyboard, and/or Lock Screen).
5. Open the keyboard (by opening any messaging, email, or any other app that requires you to type in it) and confirm that the keyboard is now compressed to one side (if you enabled LG Keyboard in the settings, of course).
6. To change what side one-handed operation is set for, tap the arrow on the screen.
7. Open the dial pad and confirm that it, too, is set to one side (if you enabled Dial Pad in the settings, of course).
8. Lock the device and check if the lock screen PIN code pad is to one side as well (if you enabled Lock Screen in the settings, of course).
