How to Unroot the BLU Studio 5.3 S

Did you not find the root-access to be as exciting as you thought it’d be? No worries, here’s the guide for you to unroot your BLU Studio 5.3 S and remove SuperSU from it.

Unrooting is the process of removing root access, a custom recovery (if you have one), and just trying to get the device back to as close to stock as possible.

Some of the reasons for unrooting your BLU Studio 5.3 S are:

• Sending in the device for warranty (most, but not all unrooting procedures reinstate the manufacturer warranty if you had one before rooting).
• Starting over (simply undoing everything you did while rooted so you can have a clean slate to start over).
• Fix any issues (Maybe rooting messed something up? No problem, unrooting will take care of it for you).

Ready to get started? Here’s how to unroot the BLU Studio 5.3 S:

I. Before You Begin

1. You should’ve rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you didn’t use it to root your device, this procedure may or may not work for you.

2. This doesn’t flash the stock firmware on your device. This only removes root-access from your device.

II. Downloading Required Files

1. Download Framaroot APK and save it to your desktop.

III. Unrooting the BLU Studio 5.3 S

1. Connect your device to your PC via USB cable.

2. Copy Framaroot from your desktop over to the root of your SD card.

3. Once it’s copied, disconnect your device from your PC.

4. Turn ON Unknown sources on your device by heading to Menu > Settings > Security > Unknown sources.

5. Open File Manager and tap on the Framaroot APK you just copied to your device. It’ll install on your device.

6. Once installed, launch the app from your App Drawer.

7. Select Unroot from the dropdown menu.

8. Tap on Gandalf.

9. It’ll begin unrooting your device.

10. Once unrooted, reboot your device.

11. You’re done!

Awesome! Your BLU Studio 5.3 S is now unrooted. It no longer supports the root-only apps that you were using on your device.
