How to Unroot the Lenovo K3 Note

The eight-core, large screen, yet budget-friendly offering from Lenovo called the K3 Note, is a pretty decent option for people looking for some performance without breaking the bank. But, as it is with most manufacturers, they try to differentiate their Android phones by adding custom software to it to give it a different look and feel than the others in the market and even add some functionality.

Thing is, Android, in my opinion at least, has come a long way from its humble beginnings and is better left untouched. Because of this, I root my devices and change the software almost immediately after getting it (there are exceptions) and rooting the Lenovo K3 Note would be something I’d recommend to anyone not afraid of getting a little “hacky” with their devices.

But there are reasons to unroot the K3 Note and get it back to stock; from having to return it for warranty, selling it, or even just starting over and getting back to a clean slate. If you’re in need of such a clean slate, here’s how to unroot the Lenovo K3 Note and flash the stock firmware to get it back to the way it was when it came out of the box.

I. Before You Begin

1. You should’ve rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. This procedure should wipe off all the data stored on your device. So, please back it all up before proceeding further.

3. You must have a Windows based PC to do this procedure.

4. Download and install PDAnet drivers on your PC, if they aren’t already installed.

5. This should get your device back to the stock ROM.
