Samsung set to launch an 8.9-inch Tab on March 22?
If the invite teaser and the cryptic “78910” on it are to be believed, Sammy is prepping a 8.9-inch tablet to be unveiled at the CTIA on March 22. What makes this an almost-sure thing is the fact that Samsung has two Android tablets on the loose already, a 7-incher and a 10-inch version (the 7 and 10 in “78910” we could assume), which should make this upcoming Tab the 8.9 inch version. Judging from the pic, this one appears a tad thinner too (if seen in the context of the bulging 3.5-mm headphone socket) but that’s just about what we can glean from it.
As to its other specs, there’s nothing revealed and we could only hope that its specs will at the least equal that of a Galaxy S2 and will feature Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system. We should know more when the event is underway on March 22nd, so look for us to keep you posted.
