Bid Farewell to T-Mobile Danger Sidekick Services

Today will mark the end of an era for the Danger Sidekick services once and for all.  Since all old Sidekick devices save their data (your contacts, pictures, etc.) to a Danger cloud server instead of on the device itself, this resulted in overall limited memory. Though this day has been lurking for a while, be prepared for the data loss implications.

Starting June 1st there will no longer be data left on the Danger cloud server. Any data on your Sidekick device will be lost once the phone loses power.  T-Mobile’s reccommendation is to utilize any of their locations to help back up your data. You can also export and back up your data via your T-Mobile online account here.

This will not compromise T-Mobile’s latest Sidekick 4G (Android). Rest assured your data is safe.

  1. Wonderful article! I haven’t owned a sidekick in years but the topic still caught my eye. Where will the data be saved to then?
