Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 to be available via Best Buy starting June 8th
It’s not the cool, geeky edition that was doled out recently at the Google I/O, but still geeky enough to be a decent tablet from Samsung. The company has now announced that the 10.1-inch version of its popular Galaxy Tab will be available exclusively through Best Buy store on Union Square in NYC beginning June 8th, before being hawked nationwide from other Best Buy stores from June 17th. As for the prices, the version with 16GB memory onboard will check in at $499 and 32GB edition will be selling at $599 – both are the WiFi-only variants of the device.
As its name signifies, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 features a 10.1 multitouch display along with an 8MP autofocus camera with a 2-megapixel front-facing lens and a dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 CPU. The device will come with the new Android 3.1 Honeycomb preinstalled – so there’s no hassle of upgrading from the previous 3.0 version – along with WiFi, Bluetooth and TV-out making up the connectivity options.
