Shutter and Editing Options for New Camera on iOS 5 Update
A new camera is coming soon as part of the monstrous iOS 5 update demo that was unleashed today at WWDC. Users can look forward to controlling the picture taking process including editing right from their device without having to rely on 3rd party photo apps. iPhone’s current camera lacked basic options and settings found in well know apps like “Camera+” or “Photoshop”. Users will now be able to correct lighting issues like flash over exposure.
More exicting is that the new camera will actually have a shutter for the first time. You will be able to utilize the volume up button to snap a shot while your phone is in landscape. The hope is that this will produce a more focused and steady shot versus having to tap on the screen to capture a picture. Users can also “pinch” to zoom while in the camera shot screen. Exciting stuff right?
