Apple Kicks Off 2011 Back to School Sale
Apple launched their annual back to school sale today, announcing that qualifying students who buy a Mac would receive a $100 to spend on the Mac App store.
Students must be currently enrolled in college or accepted into college, and can purchase any MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac or Mac Pro to receive the gift card.
This year’s promotion may not be stellar and a day late (the promo was set to launch yesterday on 6/15/11), but $100 towards new software, apps, or even if you just want to update your music selection isn’t half bad.
The promotion will run now through September 20th.
It’s a joke…The year students could use a break more than ever, apple is now the second largest company behind exxon, Apple’s profits are through the roof, and they shaft students and educators, the people who can afford it the least and need it the most. Apple’s just another greedy Madison avenue company!
If your comment doesn’t smack of entitlement, I don’t know what does. They give you $100 off most MacBook Pro’s, and give you a $100 App Store gift certificate.
If you’re so hard up for cash and really need a computer run down to your Wal-mart and buy a $278 netbook.
iTunes gift cards can be redeemed in iTunes and used against any content purchase ranging from e-books, music, movies and television shows to apps for iOS devices and Macs.
It looks like we are getting closer and closer to the highly anticipated unveiling of Apple’s next generation iPhone.
Seeing as they’re all for getting our hands on the newest device, they are equally relieved to discover new devices.
