Motorola Xoom getting Honeycomb 3.1 in Europe – US to follow?
After the Asus Eee Pad Transformer and the Tab 10.1 (I/O edition), it is now the turn of Motorola Xoom to get a stab at the Android 3.1 OS update. The announcement was made on Motorola’s European Facebook page and says that the update will begin rolling out today to tablets sold in the European continent but there is no word as yet on the state of US versions.
As we reported earlier, the update will bring support for SD cards finally on the Xoom and a host of other features that Honeycomb 3.1 is known for – resizable widgets, USB Host Mode, better Flash support and a tablet’s very own movie store.
Moto says the update could take “several weeks” to permeate the entire market, so if you don’t have it waiting for you, fret not, you’ll eventually get it.
