Leak: HTC Eternity with Mango 7.1 OS
Compared to the deluge of Android leaks and rumors we report on, Windows Phone handsets get far less spotlight – a proper reason might be the lack of a proper WP7 handset we are yet to see, but judge us not, we treat all our tech equally. After the Nokia Sea Ray, we now have a chance to bring you what could be a phone that is bound to cause waves, if not a few ripples, given its rumored specs.
Codenamed the Eternity, HTC Inside has unearthed a picture and a pretty impressive spec sheet to speak for it, which includes the likes of a humongous 4.7-inch touchscreen display, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor (with 512MB RAM, for shame!), and an 8MP camera capable of shooting 720p quality videos. with a 1.3-megapixel cam on the front for video calling/chatting. There’s supposedly 16GB of storage stuck in too with WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, DLNA and aGPS making up the connectivity options. FM Radio, G-sensor and digital compass also make an appearance, all crammed into a body as thin as 130.6 x 70.63 x 99 mm. To top it all, the device will purportedly be running Microsoft’s upcoming update to Windows Phone 7, Mango 7.1.
Seems too good to be true? It very well might be, until Microsoft or HTC confirm/deny the whole thing.
