Google Videos App Makes Brief Appearance in Android Market
Google Videos app finally made a brief appearance in the Android Market late Friday. Google originally unveiled the movie rental app during its IO conference and released it to the Motorola Xoom. The app was set to receive support past tablets as suggested but just popped up now in the marketplace.
The Videos app basically allows the user to have access to movie rentals including recent movies, which is the one of the first Apps to do so in the Android Market. Currently it is unknown which Android devices the app will be compatible with. The demo video displays the app working on a Nexus S.
The current state of the app did not allow actual playback but was optimized for phones. While the app disappeared again from the Android Market, hopefully this is a strong indication it’s coming to devices soon.
