Gingerbread update for the HTC Desire Z imminent
HTC has been slowly updating most of its Android devices to Gingerbread 2.3 and after the Droid Incredible 2 which is getting its due currently, the next device on the list seems to be the QWERTY-toting Desire Z. The smartphone (known as the G2 on T-Mobile) is currently in the final stages of testing, according to HTC’s Facebook announcements recently, and will start rolling out within the next couple of weeks over the air. This seems more concrete than the vague assurance Desire Z users got last month (and which HTC didn’t keep). The company also says that there might be a delay in getting the update out for all the Desire Zs out there, but the whole process should be done and over with before the month is up.
