Blackberry Torch 9850 and 9860 Introduced Today

Busy day for Research In Motion as they introduced two new all-touch smartphones today for North America, the Blackberry Torch 9850 and 9860. Blackberry fans can look forward to being able to purchase the BlackBerry Torch 9860 smartphone from AT&T, Rogers, Telus and Bell, and the BlackBerry Torch 9850 smartphone from Sprint and U.S. Cellular.

The 9860 boasts a 3.7” inch touch screen at a WVGA (800×480) resolution with 253 DPI, giving it the largest Blackberry touchscreen to date. Other specs include an HD camera capable of shooting in 720p, a magnetometer (digital compass), and the new Blackberry 7 OS. The 9850 houses a five megapixel camera with zero-shutter lag, 720p movie mode, built in GPS, and a 1.2GHz processor.
