HTC Merge hops on to Cellular South’s lineup
The Merge seems to be taking the scenic route and after its US Cellular debut, the HTC Android phone has made its way to Cellular South. The device currently sells for $99, which isn’t asking much for a QWERTY phone with a decently large 3.8 inch touchscreen display. The two-year contract will have to be penned though, and some sort of data plan will need to be subscribed to.
What’s intriguing though is its obvious absence on Verizon, the carrier which initially picked up the mid-range Froyo handset. The Merge listing on Verizon Wireless website is also missing, which begs us to ask – why announce it in the first place? The knowledge base articles are still online though under the listings for ADR6325, its model number.
