Verizon Announces 300MB For $20, Limited Time Only For Mid-Atlantic Region
Verizon is set to launch a regional promotion targeting voice users in the mid-atlantic region. The promotion will only be available in DC, Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina, allowing existing or new customers to add 300MB of data monthly to their voice plan. The limited offer is priced at $20 per month and automatically charges $20 more for each instance users run over the 300MB.
The limited plan is geared towards a user who has a 3G or 4G device and typically does not use a substantial amount of data. Think of consumers who want to “move from a basic phone to a smartphone but are hesitant because of cost,” said Mike Maiorana, Verizon’s president for the region in an official statement. The Big Red carrier estimates 300MB to be about 50 email messages and 50 web viewings a day. Audio and video streaming are discouraged with this plan.
The limited offer starts August 18th and will run until September 30th.
