HTC Desire to hit AT&T by June? HTC Legend to hit Sprint?
So according to a connect for BGR, the new HTC Desire is reportedly going to make it’s way to the States by way of AT&T. Also, the HTC Desire will keep it’s name AND Sense UI which is kinda a big deal.
The connect says it should be landing on AT&T sometime in May or June.
Another interesting note is that the connect also says that the Nexus One will have an AT&T 3G version coming out around the same time as well. This is interesting because of how similar the two devices are (minus a few details, the biggest being Sense UI). So if you had a choice between the exact same phone with Sense or without, which would you choose?
But then again, with Sense UI already working well on the Nexus One, guess there is even less difference between the two devices.
The connect also let slip that the HTC Legend will be coming to Sprint as the HTC Hero2. No idea on timeframe on this one.

But what company do you have, T-Mobile? If so, then just get a Nexus One and load the Sense UI on it, no big difference. That’s what I’ve done, wokrs great.

Maybe some people don’t have $580 to spend on the Nexus One because they are on a family plan or like their plan/can’t afford the required plan! I wish Google didn’t make the stupid restriction and I bet if they didn’t they would have sold way more Nexus Ones.
Hopefully the Desire/Legend will go to both AT&T/Sprint and T-Mobile.

True, but I’ve seen plenty of people sign up for Google’s special plan and then just call T-Mobile after and revert back to a family plan… T-Mobile customer care is the ones who actually recommended that.
I was a bit worried the trackball on the nexus one would be as sloppy and imprecise as the trackball on the hero. And I was right.
All else being equal, I’ll take the optical tracky thingy.
But I’d really like the FCC to investigate why these devices are made with support for EITHER AT&T’s OR T-Mobiles 3G networks, but not both, when apparently there are chips available that DO support both networks.
Take any phone P costing C for either at&t or t-mobile but not both. I will happily pay $25 more for a phone that could do both networks.
Everybody is just going to get the new iphone 4g, stupid move is going to cost them.
i move to sprint when the hero came out. my only regret is that i can’t switch phone at any moment. i had a g1 and a black berry curve then a my touch 3g and before t-mobile i had an iphone (nice device but nothin like the sense ui). whoever had an iphone and tried an android device will make the change without a doubt. im gonna try to put my hands in a desire as soon as i can and just gonna unlock it.
BTW…… does any one knows exactly when the hero is getting 2.1?
