Samsung GT-I9250 aka Nexus Prime gets a support page, further solidifies the device’s existence
Samsung has put up a support page for a device called the GT-I9250, which has long been rumored to be the Nexus Prime’s model number. Take this with the recent WiFi certification for a handset of the same number, and things seems to be gearing up towards a release just in time for the holiday season. According to various sources, Verizon is already prepping a Prime variant, which will be called the Droid Prime (model: SCH-i515) – the carrier will be the first to play host to an ICS handset and most probably, the first version of the Nexus Prime. This again is rumored to grace the CDMA carrier’s shelves in time for holiday shopping.
The specs remain the same as we have heard before – a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and a 4.5 or 4.65 inch 720p display – the OS of choice is leaning more and more towards Ice-Cream Sandwich, said to be out by October, which should give the Samsung a bigger edge on its competitors for the Xmas season.
We’ll keep you in the loop as we know more.
