Motorola Droid 2 gets lucky, Gingerbread rolling out tonight
We have some great news for Verizon Droid 2 users on the update front. According to a recent post on the Motorola Support Forums, the Android 2.3 update for the Droid 2 is now past the soak test stage and ready for general consumption. The wait ends tonight, with the rollout beginning at 11:59 PM – we don’t have to tell you to wait up, we are pretty sure you will, and just in case you don’t get the notification right away, don’t forget to check up on it manually by going to Settings -> About Phone -> System Updates on your Droid 2.
The version on the update is 2.3.3, so if you are looking for a ROM with 2.3.4 or later, you might want to try our ROMs section.
