Samsung Illusion and Pantech Breakout for Verizon pictured
Two new Android phones sporting Verizon liveries have been spotted recently – the Pantech Breakout and the Samsung Illusion. The pictures, unearthed by PocketNow, show the duo to be bar phones, both rocking some version of the Gingerbread 2.3 operating system.
Of the two, the Breakout seems better specced than the Illusion and is rumored to feature an expansive 4-inch WVGA display, a single-core 1GHz processor with 512MB RAM, 5MP shooter with what looks like a VGA cam slapped on the front, and hardware buttons instead of the touch-sensitive ones we usually see – Its USP seems to be its capability to provide with up to 10 WiFi-enabled devices, hotspotting Verizon’s 4G connection. The Illusion, on the other hand, could be a budget droid and might come with either an 800MHz or 1GHz processor, a HVGA resolution display of unknown size, and a camera of either 3.2 or 5 megapixels.
PocketNow says the Breakout should be breaking out anytime now, while the Illusion will serve a term until the end of this month before it’s ready for release. We’ll get you more when the official word is out.
