Cyanogenmod 7 now available for the HTC Sensation
The Sense UI is loved by many and the newer Sense 3.0 more so, but there will always be someone who would consider it bloatware and prefer a cleaner no nonSense version running on their beloved Sensation. Cyanogenmod 7 is just the kind of custom build that caters to this sect of users and thanks to the efforts of persiansown on XDA, the ROM has now been ported to work on the popular HTC Android smartphone. The build is currently in its alpha stage, but almost all of the components are up and working except for a few bugs that are sure to disappear as it is updated in the future.
To get it on your Sensation, follow these steps:
- Unlock/root your device and install Clockwork Recovery via ROM Manager
- Do a Nandroid backup!
- WIPE
- Install the ROM
- Optionally install the Google Addon
Sounds easy, right? It is, if you follow the instructions to a tee. Head over to the XDA Thread if you run into any problems.
