Motorola Droid Razr to get Ice-Cream Sandwich 4.0 in the first quarter of 2012
Not to be overshadowed by all the hoopla surrounding the Galaxy Nexus, Motorola has announced that the fresh-off-the-oven Droid Razr revealed yesterday will be getting its first taste of the latest and greatest Android update, Android 4.0, next year. The news was revealed by Alain Mutricy, Motorola Mobility’s SVP of Portfolio and Product Management, and should be a huge relief for those who, for a moment, turned their eyes off the new Moto device to take a leery look at the Galaxy Nexus and its ICS magic.
The update is scheduled to land in Q1 2012, but knowing Motorola, things could drag into Q2 before it actually starts rolling out. We hope that doesn’t happen though and that Motorola has changed its ways since its Milestone days.
