Sony Ericsson Xperia line phones getting Android 2.3.4 update
The Gingerbread 2.3.4 update is already available in the Nordic countries, but Sony Ericsson has now deemed it time to roll out the firmware to the rest of the world. Most of the Xperia devices released this year should be eligible for the update, so check the list below to see if your device figures in it:
- Xperia Arc
- Xperia Play
- Xperia Neo
- Xperia Mini
- Xperia Mini Pro
- Xperia Pro
- Xperia Active
- Xperia Neo V
- Xperia Arc S
The update should now bring these devices the ability to video chat on GTalk, capture screens, and add 16x video zoom to their cameras, which are pretty big improvements. Go ahead and get it – it might be a long time before many of these devices will make the big jump to Android 4.0, if any of them ever do.
