Ask Ziggy App for Windows Phone 7 Users Gets Revamped: Gives Siri A Run For Her Money
Even though Ask Ziggy has been available on the Windows Store for some time now, an upcoming new and improved version of the popular app will soon bring some Siri likeness to the Windows Phone 7 platform.
Ask Ziggy is a free application developed by Shai Leib, that can “translate human speech into transcribed text.” Essentially, the text is “analyzed for patterns to detect commands or general queries, while commands are interpreted and routed to routine phone tasks such as emailing, texting, calling, social network updates, and getting directions.” If the user asks a more generalized type of query, then the app utilizes an eclectic blend of technologies and web searches to locate the correct answer. That being said, it could take users “several passes” before Ziggy can locate the correct answer. All things considered, the revamped app is still impressive in its own right for anyone looking for something to make Siri a little jealous. The updated version of Ask Ziggy is expected to hit the Windows Store within the next few days. In the meantime, check out the demo video for yourself and tell us what you think of Ask Ziggy’s update.
