With the new year comes a new attitude for Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung. According to marketing executive Younghee Lee in a conversation with All Things D, the company is ready for consumers to love their products the same way Apple users love Apple products. With consumers in the United States being “obsessed with Apple”, Samsung aims to market their device portfolio in a way that truly tugs at your heart-strings, and hopes the relationship ends up being long term.
It’s no surprise that Apple users feel a strong undeniable connection to their devices, and aren’t scared to share their love with the whole world. Hate it or love it, we’ve all seen how attached people can become to their Apple devices. It’s a lofty marketing goal for Samsung, but we applaud them for striving towards it.
