Apple iPhone 4 Round Up
In case you didn’t see Steve Jobs’ presentation  of the new iPhone 4, here’s a quick recap of all the new features and anything else you’d need to know! Pictures after the recap and specs.
Design: | iPhone 4 is 9.3mm thin (that is 24% thinner than the iPhone 3GS)
Glass on the front and back with stainless steel on the edges. The entire border of the phone has a dual function as a sort of antenna for the phones different functions. They display has “retina technology”; basically has 326 pixels per inch making images and text look sharper. Display resolution will be 640×960 to accomplish this. |
Display: | Display will be 3.5 inches, have 640×960 resolution, have an 800:1 contrast ratio, and will be IPS technology instead of OLED. |
Hardware: | It will be powered by Apple’s own A4 processor (same as the iPad, believe it’s 1ghz)
It has two microphones (probably for noise cancellation). MicroSIM slot Li-ion battery with 7 hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby. N Wireless GPS, Bluetooth, Accelerometer, Gyro (Gyro + Accelerometer means 6 axis motion control) |
Camera: | 5.0MP
LED Flash Backside illuminated sensor (supposed to make pictures come out better in low light) Tap to focus 5x digital zoom HD (720P) video recording at 30fps New App: iMovie for the iPhone provides Video Editing on the phone ($4.99 in the App Store) |
Software: | Will run the iPhone OS 4 (renamed by Jobs to iOS 4 today)

Pricing and Availability: | iPhone 4 will come in 16GB and 32GB and will be $199 and $299 respectively.

Does the micro sim here mean that it can be swapped into an iPad without paying for an iPad data contract?

What do you mean? Can you swap the MicroSIM from your iPhone into your iPad and use your phone’s data plan instead of paying for a separate data plan for the iPad? I would assume so actually.

3G at 1900 and 2100 this means it will run on 3G on T-Mobile! HELL YEAH!

Sadly nope. TMobiles 3G is 1700 not 1900…
