LG Optimus 3D Cube to be available in March; limited to South Korea for now
LG has a way of mixing up things we like – cute girls and great smartphones. Every one of its press release is accompanied a great-looking lass holding up a good-looking device and this latest news on the upcoming Optimus 3D Cube follows the same routine.
Coming off the tangent there to the actual device in question, the Optimus 3D Cube is of course the successor to LG’s first 3D venture, the Optimus 3D. This newer Cubed version offers improved processing power (1.2GHz dual-core CPU), more storage (16GB), the same 3D camera (dual 5MP autofocus lens), and a similar display (4.3 inch IPS LCD). There’s also an NFC chip tucked in there but with a twist – it will support LG Tag+ stickers, which can be used to change the device settings with a NFC swipe. The USP obviously is its 3D prowess and LG is offering a load of 3D-centric apps to give it a bit more allure.
The Optimus 3D Cube will be released in its home country of South Korea for now but LG has plans to show off the device in Barcelona this MWC, which hints at a wider release to follow soon. Stay tuned and we’ll let you know when that happens.
