How to Root and Install ClockworkMod Recovery on the Samsung Galaxy Indulge (R910 and R915) (One-Click Method)
The Galaxy Indulge is a QWERTY Android phone, available on both MetroPCS (R910) and Cricket (R915), that comes with a 1GHz processor and can be pegged as a mid-range device, but should that stop us from rooting it? Heck no! Read on to know how to do this.
I. Before You Begin
1. Back up all data that you feel is important before continuing.
2. This is a Windows-based procedure so make sure that you have a Windows PC and have all the necessary drivers installed.
II. Necessary Downloads
1. Windows Drivers (for both the R910 and R915).
III. Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Indulge
1. Extract indulge.aio.v1.00.zip to a folder on your desktop.
2. Enable USB Debugging on your device. To do this, go to Settings > Applications > Development and check the USB Debugging tickbox.
3. Connect your device to the PC using a microUSB cable.
4. From the extracted indulge.aio.v1.00 folder, double-click run.bat.
5. Type in 1 and hit the Enter key to select the option ‘Install Root and ClockworkMod Recovery 3.1.0.1‘.
6. Hit the Enter key on the next screen.
Your device should be rooted once the process is complete!!
IV. Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy Indulge
To unroot and remove ClockworkMod Recovery from your device, double-click on run.bat and type 2 and hit enter to select ‘Remove Root and ClockworkMod.’
