Love them or hate them, reality shows have a certain edge to them with their non-stop drama. Personally, I still love watching Cops re-runs, as that show was truly my first introduction to reality television at its best. Thankfully I don’t have to suffer through the watered down reality shows of today as I can listen in to real life police, fire, and rescue communications all from my Android device. By downloading the Police Scanner 5-0 app I can tap into real life drama wherever I am, whenever I want and it’s awesome.

- Download the app
- App will default to most listened to channel
- Tap on Directory to find available channels by country
- Tap on Hot to see a list of channels prioritized by number of current listeners
- Tap on Near Me to see a list of all channels near your current location
- To listen to a specific channel tap on listing and live broadcast will immediately play
- To look up or learn more about the official lingo you are hearing tap on Lingo

Police Scanner 5.0 really is an awesome app for anyone who thrives on real-life drama. The app provides live quality broadcasts with hundreds of different channels available all over the world. Buffering between different channels only takes a few seconds, which is impressive over other police scanner apps out there. The free version of this app still allows you to browse on the internet while the app broadcasts in the background. Surprisingly, after using this app for an entire day on my Galaxy Tab my device’s battery life was relatively intact. I love that the UI is well designed with large feature icons and even has a lingo resource center. This comes in handy when the action is really heating up and you need to know quickly what a 10-10 or a 10-26 means. Call me a weirdo for loving this app, but I seriously can’t get enough of it. It’s free action packed reality show level drama delivered right to my Android. Seriously, when it comes to entertainment who could ask for anything more?
